PETAQUILLA FOUNDATION: HISTORY THAT CONFIRMS THE PRESENT
Year 2008: The Fundation invests more than 1.6 million dollars in social development progrmas
More than 1.6 million dolars were invested by Petaquilla Gold. S.A. company, as part of its program of Corporate Social Responsibility in the year 2008, through the Petaquilla Foundation, while it derives from a report provided by the Accounting manager at that time, Augusto Batista, to the “Brisas de Guacamaya” tabloid, editing for the company at that date.
This investment was canalized for social interest works in several communities that are in a radious of 50 kilometers around the place where the Petaquilla Gold S.A. project operates, which is led by businessman Richard Fifer Carles.
In this sense, these funds were destined for the Good Neighborhood, Warm Meal programs, local government support, scholarships and education program, donations, sport activities, community organizations, just as for production modules.
