Training about cyanide safety

During October 2010, Petaquilla Gold S.A. conducted several training sessions regarding handling, storage and safe use of a chemical known as sodium cyanide, used in the leaching of gold in the plant. The facilitators were Carlos Salazar, Jenny Knight, Reynaldo Moreno and I, with the aid of a video prepared by the company’s technical department, with the participation of fellow Petaquilla Gold S.A., Panama employees. Teaching materials were distributed and a lecture was delivered by engineer Salazar. The Petaquilla Gold, S.A. staff moved to the mining project in Molejon to attend training on the first and third week of October.
