Petaquilla Gold S.A.s minig project sets record in occupational and environmental safety

The criticism and fatalist predictions of those who attack mining have not been able to hide an obvious reality: that the Molejon gold project –under the vision of engineer Richard Fifer, exploited by Petaquilla Gold S.A.- the only one running in the country, has set a record on environmental and occupational safety.

All of this because of the processes within Petaquilla Gold’s mining activities are performed in harmony with the environment and the health of the employees; for which the company attends the recommendations established in the Environmental Impact Study (EIA), as well as national and international standards.

Within this environment, Panama Desarrollo de Infraestructuras (PDI), subsidiary of the mining company, performs a commendable work directed to guarantee that within the mining environment, the activities are developed harmoniously, guaranteeing the well being of the employees, both in the work they carry out, their nutrition, and transportation, among others.
