Penonome where La Castilla del Oro Foundation was born

August 2011

The trip to Panama by the Spanish delegation was filled with joy especially when they visited Penonome, in the province of Cocle, headquarters of the Foundation; where they were honored with a dinner at the Mar del Sur Restaurant of the El Cruce Convention Center, part of the La Castilla del Oro tourism Project

Pascual Montañés, president of the La Castilla del Oro Foundation in Panamá, recalled the days when along with Engineer Richard Fifer – Carles – creator of this initiative, and other friends, they shared the desire to generate opportunities that went beyond the mining Project for this region. Hence the Engineer’s idea, Second Generation Social Responsibility, “Engineer Fifer- Carles’ vision is of a very long term. Mining has a specific term, it has an expiration date. Hence the need to develop a venture such as spiritual tourism that will allow de development of the people of La Castilla, regardless of the mining project” said Pascual Montañés.
